Why You Should Rent A Dumpster For Your Fixer Upper House

Blog

Did you buy a fixer upper house that has a lot of junk on the interior and exterior that must be thrown away before you can start making repairs? The best way to go about getting rid of all of the junk in a timely manner is to invest in a dumpster rental, as it can be useful when you begin making repairs to the house as well. Take a look at the list in this article that explains why renting a dumpster is a wise decision when cleaning and renovating a fixer upper house.

1. Cleaning Will Be a Faster Task

If you have a lot of junk to remove on the interior and exterior of the house, it can be a time-consuming task if you don't have the right size dumpster. You can end up having to wait for the trash to be removed on the day that is set for big trash removal in your city. If you don't want to wait for big trash day, you would have to put the junk in the back of a truck and haul it to a dump yard, which can take multiple trips and waste gas. Renting a dumpster gives you the ability to discard of large quantities of junk at once.

2. Various Types of Items Can Be Placed Inside

You will be able to place a variety of different things inside of a dumpster rental, and even large items can fit inside. For instance, you will be able to put items like tree branches, furniture, siding, drywall, flooring materials and numerous other items in the dumpster. However, you should keep in mind that there might be rules in place in regards to what can be put in the dumpster. Items that are considered hazardous like appliances that use gas might not be allowed in the dumpster. The rental company might still be able to haul away hazardous items for an extra fee, but it depends on which company is chosen.

3. The Dumpster Can Be Emptied Out or Replaced When Full

If you end up filling a dumpster rental up with trash before you are done using it, the rental company will be able to empty the trash out for you. In some cases, the full dumpster is simply picked up and an empty one is brought to your property. Reserve a dumpster rental so you can get your fixer upper house in order as soon as possible. eliminating garbage and unused items from the home

I am a little embarrassed to admit that my mother is a serious hoarder. Thirty years ago, my parents bought an old 6 bedroom farm house. The previous owner was ill, so there was a lot of stuff left behind. I think that those things being left behind kind of started the whole hoarding thing for my mother. She found a lot of things that she really liked and held onto them. By the time my 5 siblings and I grew up and moved out, my parent's house was down to one bedroom that was still usable. My mother inspired my blog about eliminating garbage and unused items from the home.
